Our Love Story

We want to first thank God who has ordained and blessed our union. We both have prayed and waited for confirmation from the Lord. The answer we received was "Yes". We both embarked on our journey of singleness before meeting each other, which included a lot of healing, soul searching and getting our spiritual life in alignment with God. The night we met was a night to remember. We were both at The Black Business Ball, Twyla who first spotted Glorius on the dance floor having the time of his life. It was something about him that drew Twyla in. His glow, his joy and contentment in God and the sparkle in his eye had her intrigued. She approached him and the fist conversation they had was not like any other conversation they had ever had. We were in a room full of people, but it felt like we were the only people their talking about "God" & "Purpose". We later realize that we had been in the same rooms literally for years. Twyla had video of him in her phone from different events, not knowing this would be her husband in the near future. When we first exchanged information, we find it quite funny because we realized later Glo had thanked Twyla for something on Facebook neither one of us could remember five years prior and had been Facebook friends the whole time. God was prepping us, growing us and getting us ready for each other and we didn't realize God had a plan for us. We dated for about a year and half. We traveled all across the U.S taking trips, experiencing life with each other. Later we found out we were expecting, that's when we brought our beautiful daughter into this world Xena La'Ray Martin. We wanted to do things the right way and we decided to start over after Xena, so we decided to purify ourselves before God and withhold sex until we were married. It was really hard (still is), but we have strengthened our emotional & spiritual connection deeper than ever before. We realized that the physical attraction was nothing but a small part of our union. The spiritual connection that we nurture daily is what sustain us. With God in the middle, we are standing strong as we embark on our journey to marriage, which is God's will for us.  This is just the beginning! We are so excited to have you come along side of us and support our union! This is the beginning of forever for us and we are happy to have you join us!!
